This service is to help you form your cover letter, resume, and
interview skills. I am not offering to pass any materials on to any
employers or to talk to any employers on your behalf.
If (and only if) you are a registered student in F421 in Fall 2000
and you are seeking either an investment banking of options trading job,
then you may send your resume, and a cover letter to me at:
Dr. Crack (Mock Interview-IB)
P.O. Box 3491
Bloomington, IN 47402-3491
OR
Dr. Crack (Mock Interview-OT)
P.O. Box 3491
Bloomington, IN 47402-3491
Your letter must be postmarked no later than September 22,
2000. Late submissions will not be accepted under any
circumstances.
Address your letter to me as though I were an employee of the firm to
which you are applying. E.g. Dear Dr. Crack: I ... want to work for
Goldman, Sachs in New York ...
I will look through the letters and resumes and I will "reject" the
poor ones (I will return them to you with comments either in person or by
mail). The non-rejected applicants will be invited to a formal mock job
interview some time in October (don't apply unless you are prepared to put
on a suit and attend an interview).
If you are invited to a mock interview I may ask you to sign a
simple legal waiver where you waive your right to register any sort of
complaint about what I say to you in your interview. Some interviewers are
caustic and I reserve the right to prepare you for the worst.
